Aggregator workstream update
The Aggregator working group recently saw its third meeting on Monday, 25th April. The workstream is focused on:
- Supporting EU discussions by analysing relevant Aggregator topics and identifying simple, transparent and fair solutions for cost-effective implementation
- Relating and extending each topic with relevance to USEF’s different Aggregator implementation options
- Preparing an advise for the further development of USEF
A small team of 10 representatives from different roles and different countries are undertaking early work in time to feed in to the EC discussion on the winter package. We invite you to join the wider participation at an in-depth session later in the year.
Primary tasks and outputs
The group’s initial tasks are to define ground rules, agree the best approach for detailing and disseminating learning and insights to the wider audience, and then generate output accordingly. This will be timed to feed in to the EC discussion on the winter package and then opened up to a wider group via an in-depth USEF session on Aggregator business models in September/ October. Please contact us if you would like to join the session.
Work in progress: Defining preferential Aggregator models
Detailed descriptions of different Aggregator business models were assessed and seven variants selected, by nature of their different approach to Supplier/BRP relationships and energy transfer. By considering and defining selection criteria, the group aims to identify preferential Aggregator Business Models. Early indications are that there will be no ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution but rather multiple models, which will likely each match different USEF Flex Value Chain Services.
