The Smart Grids Task Force was set up by the European Commission to advise on issues related to smart grid deployment and development. It consists of five Expert Groups which focus on specific areas. Their work helps shape EU smart grid policies. Expert Group 3 provides regulatory recommendations for smart grid deployment. Based on its recent work on a regulatory framework for demand side flexibility, USEF was asked to join EG3 as a non-association entity. Together with representatives from ENTSO-E, smartEn, CEDEC, CEER and EC, USEF is also a member of the editorial team of EG3.
